Janet Carmosky holds a BA in Chinese History from the University of Pennsylvania. During the two decades of years of China’s most rapid economic growth, she lived in Shanghai and worked in senior positions in international strategy consulting, private equity, tech and pr firms. With exposure to startups and turnarounds, she understands the importance of connecting operating level detail to overall strategy. Before joining CBC, Janet was a co-founder and Executive Director of Albany Can Code, a non-profit to train nontraditional talent for jobs in technology.
Azuré Keahi holds a BA in English from the University of Hawaii. Her diverse experience includes managing luxury residential buildings, food businesses, and farms. An avid gardener and proponent for the local food justice movement, she volunteers as a lead coordinator for Collard City Growers, a block-wide food forest project for North Troy's Sanctuary for Independent Media.
Ryan Rose holds a BS in Accounting from Siena College, and has a Masters in Accounting from the University at Albany. Before founding CBC, Ryan was a finance manager at Honest Weight Food Cooperative, where he helped manage the store’s expansion from $13 million to $26 million in annual sales. He has worked in the non-profit, higher eduction and construction sectors.
Idalis Watts-Ortiz holds a BS in Accounting from the College of Saint Rose. Before joining CBC, Idalis started her own gift making business, Celebrate Uniquely. She also volunteered for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program at many upstate locations.

Dennis Caplan is an Associate Professor of Accounting, and Chair of the Department of Accounting and Law, at the University at Albany. He previously taught at Oregon State University, Iowa State University, and Columbia University. Prior to earning his Ph.D., Dennis worked for the public accounting firm of Touche Ross & Co., and for Levi Strauss and Co.
Hillary Yaeger is an Investment Officer at the NY State Common Retirement Fund and an adjunct lecturer at SUNY Albany. She was introduced to cooperatives by Honest Weight Food Cooperative, where she served as the treasurer of the board for three years. Before moving to Albany, she was a Vice President at Bear Stearns in New York.
Duke Bouchard is the CFO of River Valley Food Co-op in Northampton, MA. Before joining River Valley, Duke was the CFO of Honest Weight, where he spearheaded a decade-long campaign to open a new location which doubled the co-ops size. Duke serves on the board of the Cooperative Fund of New England.
